This is a
condition in which a
person
is unable to control the
passage of urine or
bowel movements. Urinary
incontinence may be
caused by a lesion in
the brain or spinal
cord, injury to the
sphincter or damage to
the nerves of the
bladder. Stress
incontinence occurs
during coughing or
straining and is common
in women during
pregnancy because of
weakening of the
