Menopause
simply means the end of menstruation,
but the term is also used to refer to
the months and years in a woman's life
before and after her final period- a
time that may or may not bring with it
some physical or emotional changes.
Postmenopausal women face an increased
risk of developing osteoporosis.
Not all women experience
symptoms with the onset of menopause. If
symptoms occur, they may include hot
flashes which last a few minutes, night
sweats, pain during intercourse,
increased nervousness, anxiety or
irritability and the need to urinate
more often than before.
Though
it is a natural transition, women can
avoid too much reaction by activating the
following points once a month during
menopause. |
